RICHARD GREGORY ZINUTICZ
Born: 1947 Milwaukee , Wisconsin
As far as art education is concerned , I attended a local Trade And Technical High School opting for the 3 year Commercial Art curriculum graduating in 1966 with a Diploma in Technical Art . A lot of what I've learned is now obsolete , but I retain the basic fundamentals . I guess you could say I'm mostly self taught through experimentation plus trial and error . As far as computers , cameras , and the digital world are concerned I learned those skills on my own . Most of my work is actually photography based . Some later work is based on my acrylic abstract paintings re-imagined as single giclee prints . My tools consist of a Pentax k-5 , iPad Pro , Mac Mini , calibrated monitor , acrylic paint and gel mediums . My images are printed professionally . I gallery wrap them on stretcher bars which I construct in my workshop . All work is 1 of 1 only .
It helps to keep my mind active and engaged while doing something creative in retirement . A reclusive person by nature , I'm happiest in my studio.
